After cutting the corn, Dad started to pull up the carpet in the Dining Room. Mom and Grandma were cleaning up, so I went inside sweep the floor as Dad removed the carpet. Good thing too, cause the floor was NASTY!! there was so much dirt and sand under that carpet - not to mention the stain spots on the back of the carpet. So happy that all of it is going out of the house by the end of the month.
With all the dirt, dust, and crap - I had to keep covered....Don't I look cute....and yes I smiled at the camera...DORK!
Say good bye to the crappy looking floor in the kitchen too!!
Just gotta get the baseboard put back up, and the corner-round : which is the wood that you put around cabinets and stuff to hid the 1/4 inch of space you must leave for expansion/contraction etc. Dad is going to be here tomorrow to help do that and get it done. But this is what it looks like so far.
We also got the nursery carpet and closet doors out, along with the spare room. Those rooms will be painted soon by my FIL and Hubby. Then we will move out the rest of the stuff in our bedroom so that room can be repainted also. 
I can't wait for my house to be put back together....but all of this is worth it. Wanna bring Lil Bean home to a clean and safe place in January.

Glad you had the mask on. I was wondering as I was reading. Now we match, except mine is blue.
Back to the doc 2 times this week, so I probably won't be helping with the painting.

Oh yeah, the floor looks fantastic!
You'll have to show me all the tricks for cutting corn. We're taking most of it off the cob this year.
Question... What did you do with the fridge when putting down the flooring? How did you get the floor under it?
